“Drew’s campaign is focused on the critical issue affecting our County: creating good-paying, private sector jobs to rebuild our taxbase. Drew brings the right mix of smarts and know-how to achieve this goal on the Council. I endorse Drew for the District 1 Council seat,” said Floreen in her endorsement of Morrison.

“Drew is a hard-working, intelligent changemaker. He knows how to lead in a crisis – as he did after the Key Bridge collapse – and how to work with diverse stakeholders to achieve critical policy goals. Drew will make an excellent Councilmember and I’m proud to endorse him,” said Wiedefeld in his endorsement of Morrison.

Also announced last week were endorsements from the Greater Capital Area Association of REALTORS®, which represents more than 11,000 REALTOR® members, and Greater Greater Washington, a regional advocacy and media organization focused on housing and transportation issues.

In endorsing Morrison’s campaign, the Greater Capital Area Association of REALTORS® (GCAAR) said, “Throughout his career, Drew Morrison has successfully brought large-scale government projects to fruition to generate significant change in the county. He recognizes the county’s potential and is dedicated to building more housing in the right places. Drew understands the importance of homeownership and has committed to addressing policies that are standing in the way of building homes in Montgomery County.” GCAAR’s full endorsement statement is linked here.

In endorsing Morrison’s campaign, Greater Greater Washington (GGW) cited his focus on affordability, along with his past experience working for former District 1 Councilmember Roger Berliner “helping constituents navigate the county’s bureaucracy and working to find consensus.” GGW’s full endorsement statement is linked here.

These endorsements add to a growing list of endorsements for Morrison’s campaign, including: former Maryland Governor Martin O’Malley, former Maryland Attorney General Doug Gansler, former Councilmember Roger Berliner, Councilmember Dawn Luedtke, and former Maryland Transportation Secretary Beverley K.
