Since launching my campaign last summer, I have been spending a lot of time listening to voters at community events, campaign meet & greets, and as I knock doors around the district.

As I have spent time listening to you over the past few months, a few key themes have emerged about what you’re looking for from your next Councilmember. You’re concerned about how we grow good-paying jobs here in Montgomery County, especially with the Trump Administration’s cuts to the federal workforce. You’re concerned about rising costs, particularly around energy, housing, and childcare. You’re worried about the future of our planet. You’re concerned about the future of our schools, at a time when our school system is proposing multiple, significant changes. You want us to build the infrastructure our community needs. And you’re looking for a Councilmember who will be responsive to your concerns when you contact their office looking for help.

Today, I’m excited to officially unveil my vision for the future of District 1 and Montgomery County. I’ve heard what matters to you, and over the next several weeks you’ll hear from me about how I’ll tackle each of these issues, and the work I have already done to advance these priorities. You’ll also hear from folks who I have worked with for many years now on behalf of our community, as well as some new friends I have met on the campaign trail.
